Peachy Wedding Florals Ahead Of Their Time

Madison reached out to me around a year before her wedding — this is typical for connecting early with your wedding florist. We had known each other since college, and she and Patton had already secured their venue and church. With a clear direction in mind, Madison had a color palette and had even chosen bridesmaids' dresses for her wedding party. Everything seemed to effortlessly fall into place. She described her overall vision as peachy pastel florals, and I couldn't have been more thrilled because those happen to be some of my favorite colors to work with.

A Love For Peonies & Poppies

Simply put, luck was on our side. Thanks to my connection at the flower market, we managed to secure the main stars of both my arrangements and Madison's bouquet – peonies and poppies. Sourcing these florals during this time of year is usually tricky, but as fate would have it, we struck gold! Madison's bouquet, a magnificent embodiment of her love for peonies and poppies, defied simplicity. Meticulously crafted, it captured the elegance and vibrancy she had envisioned for her wedding day. This arrangement didn't just decorate; it became a focal point, infusing Madison's celebration with the rich beauty and unique charm she had set her heart on.

Unfortunately for the cosmos which I wasn’t able to source sadly, they were replaced by dahlias, camomile, and ranunculus in the all-white bridesmaids’ bouquets. The all-white bouquets were specifically done so that they would stand out against their super vibrant dresses.

Going To The Chapel

A bit about Madison & Patton: These two met at Light Church in Encinitas and it was the perfect place for them to come together and get married in front of their families, friends, and congregation.

Breaking From Wedding Tradition

Madison and Patton really did something special, in my eyes. After tying the knot at Light Church, they opted for a unique twist by proposing a sunset walk for their guests instead of the usual cocktail hour. How awesome is that?! Rather than having everyone stand around waiting during the typical cocktail hour, Madison and Patton chose to make memories with their guests. I find it especially cool, given the split venue locations. It was a wonderful and unconventional way to celebrate their marriage with the ones who mean the most to them.

ICA North San Diego

Madison and Patton had their epic reception at the ICA North here in San Diego and it was one for the books you guys. Steph Sousa did an incredible job documenting this entire day and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer in the area.
